When submitting your application, please use the new Z83 form, which can be obtained from any Public Service Department website. Clearly indicate the specific placement area you are applying for.

Applications submitted using the old Z83 form will not be considered. Your application must include a recently updated, comprehensive CV, as well as a fully completed, initialled, and signed Z83 form. Sections A, B, C, and D of the Z83 are mandatory, while sections E, F, and G are optional if the information is already included in your CV.

However, you must answer the question regarding conditions that prevent re-appointment under Part F. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be required to submit certified copies of their qualifications and ID. Please note that the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture reserves the right not to make any placements. Due to the expected high volume of responses, correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.

If your application is not received by the closing date of the advertisement, it will be considered unsuccessful. For applicants looking for placements in different areas, please fill out separate Z83 forms and submit the required documentation for each application.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the academic requirements for the field of study mentioned below and must not have participated in any previous internship programs within the public service. Verification of educational qualifications, citizenship, references, and security checks will be conducted for all appointments.

All interns will undergo suitability checks, including verification of educational qualifications, citizenship, criminal records, and financial standing. The Department aims to have a diverse workforce that represents the demographics of South Africa, so candidates from all population groups and genders are encouraged to apply.
