Advanced Health: Data Capturer X8

The Higher Health invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Data Capturer. There are eight positions available.

Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure accurate and timely data capture into various electronic and manual databases (e.g., Excel, Access, DHIS). The role also involves providing administrative support and managing information and reporting systems.
Department: Programmes – Monitoring and Evaluations
Main Functions
Data Quality Control and Data Capturing
- Regularly ensure the quality of collected data, including data entry and management.
- Receive and collect beneficiary files and registers from campuses and mobile clinics for data capturing.
- Count and capture entries related to both the Global Fund Program and other Advanced Health Programs as directed by the PM and M&E unit.
- Count and capture beneficiary data (consent forms, reach registers, risk screening forms, enrollment forms, core package forms, biomedical forms, services, etc.) into the electronic or manual system.
- Identify missing data, inconsistencies, errors, and follow-up.
- Report on missing data or errors.
- Capture confidential beneficiary information.
- Perform ad hoc tasks related to data management.
- Store and file completed information and maintain records of work tasks and completed documents.
- Maintain an effective and efficient filing system.
- File beneficiary information and documents according to SOPs.
- Perform various administrative tasks such as word processing, filling out paperwork, and maintaining records and files.
- Handle telephone queries.
Reporting
- Support the Provincial Manager in completing statistical reports to Advanced Health.
- Distribute data and reports to relevant team members.
- Engage in monitoring and reporting activities, including data quality assessments, site visit verifications, beneficiaries enrolled into curriculum review, and research data collection.
- Ensure report queries from the M&E head office are resolved timely in accordance with reporting deadlines.
Operating Equipment
- Operate various machines and equipment such as computers with multiple systems, keyboards, scanners, printers, and copy machines.
- Use specific software and programs for data entry tasks.
- Key information directly into the computer and scan documents, filling in any missing information.
- Load compliance machines with required materials, including paper, disks, tapes, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Any related qualification
Experience:
- Experience in organizing and providing administrative assistance.
- Excellent record-keeping and filing system skills.
- High level of computer literacy, primarily in Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly, with excellent attention to detail and deadlines.
