Role Purpose: Safely and accurately entering stores and stock (including diesel) from suppliers. Ensuring all documentation and information are captured, confirmed, and managed according to standard operating procedures.
Key Performance Areas: Financial Perspective:
- Contributes to cost efficiencies.
- Demonstrates budget and cost consciousness, identifies and implements cost-saving initiatives within the entering function.
- Identifies and escalates potential pitfalls leading to increased costs.
- Follows entering standard operating procedures and processes to mitigate the risk of financial loss.
- Initiates cost-saving measures and aims for a reduction in directly managed product costs from the previous period.
Internal Business Process Perspective: Receives and Stores Stock and Diesel:
- Receives goods and stock following established procedures.
- Manages relevant financial and delivery documentation, including goods entered register and delivery/order information.
- Ensures the quality of entered goods and inventories, checks for defects and damages.
- Analyzes and reports on entered stock variances.
- Safely receives and stores stores and equipment according to company processes and legislative/non-supervisory requirements.
- Utilizes IT systems effectively and ensures compliance with document management control system procedures.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Matriculation (Matric).
Preferred Qualification:
- Certificate in Purchasing Management (NQF Level 4).
Minimum Experience and Knowledge Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an entering clerk within a mining environment.
