Position: Security Officers (143 positions available) Location: Northern Cape, South Africa Reference Number: S4.1/05/24 Payment: R 147,036.00 per annum (payment position 3) Conditions:
- ABET/ Grade 11 Certificate and Grade ‘’ C ’’ PSIRA or original qualification.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in security operation.
- No lawless records or pending cases.
- Amenable to work irregular hours and shifts (Day/Night, weekends, and leaves) and be willing to undergo vetting. Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Security legislation, programs, and Procedures, Public Service Regulations, Security Registers, Batho Pele Principles, MISS.
- Good customer operation skills, communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills.

- Perform access control functions.
- Provide companionship to guests and contractors within the premises.
- Conduct electronic screening through substance detector and x-ray machine on everyone entering the premises.
- Ensure the safety of staff and guests within the structure and premises.
- Conduct general and patrolling duties including in the parking area, vehicle searches, and security duty points.
- Keep a register of requests to open services and report to the director.
- Ensure only authorized persons access parking and register all guests’ vehicles.
- Register and authorize departmental vehicles leaving the structure.
- Prevent unauthorized persons and dangerous objects from entering the structure/premises.
