The City of Ekurhuleni is seeking interested and qualified candidates for the position of Indigent Fieldworker in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 11
- Ability to read and write
- Capability to capture, collect, sort, and verify data accurately on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis before submission to the team leader
- Willingness to undergo basic training in indigent verification and application
- Must be a resident of Ekurhuleni based in the communities where they will serve (Ward-Based). Proof of residence is required.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual and electronic verification of indigent applications
- Perform ward-based indigent household verification by visiting a designated number of houses within a ward
- Interview potential clients
- Check clients’ municipal account status on the Venus and ERP system
- Report water leaks and electrical faults to the team leader and CRM Department
- Participate in indigent campaigns in your area
- Identify and report household social issues for further attention by the area social worker
- Report any additional issues to your sub-regional team leader
