Executive Clerk Position: Employer Inspection REF NO: HR4/4/8/89

Position Overview

The Executive Clerk will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the sub-directorate. This includes managing documentation, providing support in Supply Chain Management, and offering Human Resources services. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, along with a high level of computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Render administration support services for the sub-directorate.
  • Control the movement of documents and files within the sub-directorate.
  • Maintain an efficient filing and retrieval system for documents.

Supply Chain Management Support

  • Assist in the procurement processes.
  • Ensure that all supply chain procedures are followed meticulously.
  • Manage inventory and keep track of office supplies.

Human Resources Support

  • Support HR-related activities within the sub-directorate.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating interviews and managing candidate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with employment equity plans to promote representativity.

Essential Requirements


  • Matriculation/Grade 12/Senior Certificate is mandatory.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficient in administrative procedures related to office management.
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as fax machines and photocopiers.
  • Data capturing skills are essential.
  • Excellent planning and organizing abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Assertiveness and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working under pressure.
