Job Description
As a trainee in the Youth Development Program, your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating excellence and quality orientation in all assigned tasks, deliverables, and projects
- Executing role responsibilities efficiently through careful and timely planning, reporting, and updating
- Contributing to projects with proactive, innovative, and appropriate input
- Participating in knowledge sharing with peers and stakeholders
- Managing your own development plan to enhance competencies and skills through various channels
- Adhering to and advocating FirstRand’s shared values and business philosophy
Eligibility Criteria
The FirstJob Programme aims to provide opportunities for unemployed youth who meet the following criteria:
- Must be between the ages of 18 – 34
- Must have obtained a relevant post-matric qualification
- Must have been unemployed for at least the last 6 months
- Must have no or limited work experience (i.e., less than twelve months’ work experience and/or of a part-time, casual nature). This must be the youth’s FIRST job experience
- Must not have previously participated in the FirstJob programme at any of the FirstRand franchises, and must not have worked for FirstRand before
