Join us as a Learning Director at GSS PS Global. In this pivotal role, you will drive service excellence and embed a learning culture within Global Shared Services People Services (GSS PS). You will support knowledge transfer and standardize work processes to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness. GSS People Services aims to deliver optimal HR solutions for a dynamic business environment, focusing on simplification, standardization, optimization, and automation of end-to-end HR processes.

Job Description:

Please note that this is a 12-month fixed-term contract role.

Your role will involve creating a successful Learning and Performance function and team for GSS, ensuring GSS employees are adequately skilled to deliver exceptional services to Anglo American EMEA BUs. You will implement and deliver high-quality service, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Tasks:

Learning and Development:

  • Processing catalogue maintenance requests
  • Handling course nominations (bulk or individual)
  • Managing accommodation requests
  • Processing attendance registers
  • Coordinating site inductions
  • Managing new/renewal of licenses (bulk or individual)
  • Processing course evaluations
  • Verifying and processing new/renewal of qualifications
  • Resolving Learning Management System (LMS) and SAP queries
  • Catalogue maintenance
  • License uploads and renewals
  • Troubleshooting learning system queries
  • Reporting and publishing content
  • Creating courses and qualifications on SAP & LMS

Performance Management:

  • Managing bulk status changes as per the PM calendar
  • Uploading ratings and modifiers based on calibration outcomes
  • Creating or updating performance contracts on SAP
  • Providing reports with recommendations for relevant data changes

Talent Management:

  • Processing population updates
  • Handling rating updates
  • Providing reports with recommendations for relevant data changes

Risk and Operational Reporting:

  • Tracking and reporting service performance
  • Knowledge transfer to entry-level LTP Officers
  • Ensuring effective peer auditing

Client Relationships:

  • Providing accurate information to support client queries
  • Prioritizing and resolving queries, developing remedial plans
  • Reporting incidents to LTP Coordinator

Generic Tasks:

Health, Safety & Environment:

  • Demonstrating behavior in line with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Reporting issues to Coordinator

People:

  • Demonstrating behavior in line with Group values and standards
  • Collaborating effectively with Coordinator, peers, and relevant others

Financial:

  • Operating cost-effectively within limits set by Section Manager

Work Processes:

  • Adhering to policies, processes, and systems
  • Reporting any performance impediments to Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Relevant B.Degree (advantageous)

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of Learning Administration experience
  • Proficiency with Learning Management System (LMS) and SAP systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
