Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- Education: Grade 10
- Certification:
- Psira Registered Grade C
- Armed Response Certificate
- Firearm Competency Certificate
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Code B/EB or former truck license also acceptable)
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years driving experience

Key Responsibilities
As an Armed Response Officer, your duties will include:
- Area Familiarization: Acquainting yourself with the designated area
- Response Times: Maintaining response times as required by management
- Route Efficiency: Utilizing the shortest possible routes in the area
- Client Interaction: Showing empathy and providing attentive service to clients
- Client Welfare: Prioritizing client welfare and following up after serious incidents
- Attention to Calls: Paying special attention to all calls and client needs
- Public Relations: Performing a public relations service and introductory calls to new clients
- Stand-off Point: Standing off at delegated places during peak hours
- Area Patrols: Patrolling the area during off-peak times
- Daily Parade: Conducting daily parades and complying with Standing Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring the general appearance and maintenance of the vehicle, including completing daily/weekly checklists
- Personal Hygiene: Maintaining personal hygiene, with daily parades being conducted
- Equipment Care: Taking care of equipment and completing daily/weekly checklists
- Reporting: Submitting comprehensive reports and feedback as requested
- Communication: Forwarding accurate information both upwards and downwards
- Problem Resolution: Assisting with any problems or complaints and providing full feedback to clients when necessary
