Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Packer is responsible for verifying completed orders and ensuring that the picked products match the customer’s order in terms of item, color, quantity, and quality.
Job Objectives:
- Double Checking:
- Receive picked orders from the Picker and verify that the items match the order by checking size, quantity, color, and quality.
- Pack orders according to company standards and seal with brown Barron tape after confirmation.
- Weigh the box, print the sticker, and affix both the sticker and picking slip to the box.
- Report any discrepancies to the Packing Team Leader.
- Housekeeping:
- Maintain a tidy workstation by applying basic housekeeping principles.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential: NQF 3 – Grade 11 or equivalent
- Desirable: NQF 4 – Matric or equivalent
- 6 to 12 months of experience as a Warehouse Packer in the corporate apparel industry.
- Ability to differentiate between colors.
