Job Description
The Cashier will process transactions using our POS system, handle cash, give refunds, and balance the till. The role also includes maintaining a clean working environment, upselling products and services where applicable, resolving complaints, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Minimum Grade 10 is essential (Grade 12 advantageous)
- Computer Literacy: Advantageous
- Language Proficiency: Ability to communicate in English
- Numeracy Skills: Required

Responsibilities
- Float Management: Prepare and manage the cash float
- POS Operation: Operate the till and scanner correctly and speedily when checking out the customer’s purchases
- Payment Processing: Receive and process all forms of payment and transactions during checkout
- Loss Prevention: Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards
- Security Procedures: Adhere to and maintain security procedures
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and respond to their queries in a courteous manner
