Job Description
The Security Officer will ensure the safety and security of all staff and guests while adhering to all procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Education: Matric Grade 12.
- Qualifications: Must have a security qualification.
- Registration: Must be registered with SIRA/SOB and hold a grade C certification.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer and Employee Interaction: Interact with customers and employees courteously while applying security policies and procedures and offering an effective security service.
- Evaluate Security Systems: Assess security systems and procedures and make recommendations for improvement where necessary.
- Liaison: Liaise with senior management, outside security organizations, and SAP services.
- Security Duties: Perform all security duties according to company policies and procedures.
- Emergency Procedures: Follow correct emergency procedures.
- Adherence to Procedures: Ensure that security procedures are adhered to by employees and customers.
- Risk Management: Identify possible security risks, take appropriate action, and inform relevant people.
- Asset Protection: Safeguard company assets.
- Alertness: Be consistently alert, vigilant, and aware of what is going on by scanning for areas that need attention and taking the required corrective action.
- Customer Handling: Handle challenging customers, stand for long hours, and perform routine work.
- Alarm Callouts: Assist with alarm callouts if necessary.
