Programme Overview
Zoom Fibre offers a comprehensive 12-month programme consisting of:
- Occupational Certificate: Design Thinking Innovation Lead (NQF: 4)
- Training: 3 months of Design Thinking Innovation Lead theory
- Work Experience: 9 months of office-based work
- Stipend: Monthly stipend to support you during the programme
In partnership with our skills and training provider, Diversity Empowerment, we are looking for motivated, driven, and ambitious learners to join our team.
Learnership Details
- Number of Opportunities: 8
- Location: Rivonia
- Duration: Fixed-term learner contract from 01 August 2024 to 31 July 2025
- Remuneration: Stipend to be confirmed once successful
- Purpose: Enable South African youth to gain valuable workplace experience and a certification: Design Thinking Innovation Lead (SAQA ID: 118788)

Generic Duties and Responsibilities
- Successfully complete the learning and theory of the certification
- Integrate into the office environment
- Participate in both office-based and fieldwork activities
- Handle calls/tickets, gather data, and monitor networks (inbound and outbound)
- Support and participate in department/company initiatives
- Provide assistance and support to customers, ISPs, agencies, and other stakeholders
- Support departments in planning and coordination of projects and initiatives
- Provide administrative support to the department team
- Maintain a centralized database for project files, documents, and records
- Participate in workshops, team training, and other learning opportunities
- Fulfill all KPA/KPIs as determined by the relevant department
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate
- Completed Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (advantageous)
Experience:
- None required
Location:
- Office-based – Rivonia, Homestead Office Park
- Candidates must reside in or around the area or have reliable transportation
Business Hours:
- Work hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, or 9 hours as determined by departmental requirements
- Candidates are responsible for their own transport to and from work/learning facilities
Skills, Behaviors, and Competencies:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and work within a team
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to office protocol
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrate a genuine interest and passion for the telecommunications industry and customer service
- Excellent time management skills (punctual, reliable, and efficient)
Other Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Candidates must be unemployed South African youth (as per the Skills Development Act)
- Proficiency in English (speak, write, and read); additional languages are advantageous
- Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged groups, including persons with differently-abled bodies
