Primary Function

Interns will be responsible for providing top-tier Call Centre services, both telephonically and in writing. This role involves analyzing and identifying account queries, processing necessary procedures, and utilizing all available resources to resolve revenue-related issues at the first point of contact. When queries cannot be resolved immediately, interns will log and escalate these issues to the appropriate department. Throughout their tenure, interns are expected to meet or exceed the targets set by the Revenue & Customer Relationship Management (R & CRM) department.

Interns will be trained in various critical areas to ensure they are fully prepared for the responsibilities of the role:

  1. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
    Interns will be trained to follow set SOPs for logging all revenue account queries related to services provided by the City of Johannesburg. This includes processing these queries with the relevant back-end departments and ensuring that issues requiring immediate resolution are addressed promptly.
  2. Data Management:
    Participants will be involved in maintaining electronically-based information, data, and records. This task requires attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  3. Performance Management:
    Interns will be introduced to the City of Johannesburg’s Performance Management Policy. Understanding this policy is essential, as it will guide their work and help them align their performance with the City’s expectations and standards.
  4. Customer Relations:
