Description
The General Worker performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. This role includes minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining facilities, ensuring the cleanliness of designated areas, and providing support during the relocation of office furniture and equipment according to specified instructions.
Requirements
Education
Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric, NQF level 4 or any other equivalent qualification
Certifications and Training Courses:
- General maintenance training
Experience and Knowledge
Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of working experience in a maintenance environment
Industry Experience:
- Knowledge of methods used in maintenance, including the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, glass replacement, painting, appliance repair, standard practices, and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities, as well as safety practices and procedures related to building trades.
