Application Process
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the required qualifications and competencies for the Pharmacist Internship positions.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Latest results from the University or a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacy student.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Written, verbal, and report presentation skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Good record-keeping skills.
Key Performance Areas:
- A Pharmacist Intern may perform all services or acts related to the scope of practice of a Pharmacist’s Assistant (Post-Basic), under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in a pharmacy.
- A Pharmacist Intern may also perform services or acts related to the scope of practice of a Pharmacist for educational and training purposes, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
Application Instructions:
- Complete the new Z83 form (available at any government institution or www.dpsa.gov.za).
- Submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a copy of your ID.
- Applicants must submit separate applications for each center they are applying to.
- Ensure the Z83 form is fully completed and signed. Pay special attention to the instructions regarding Part A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview and present certified copies of all relevant qualifications and ID.
