Job Description
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Planting of seeds and seedlings.
- Harvesting of fruits and vegetables.
- Irrigation and fertilizer application to promote healthy crop growth.
- Weed, pest, and disease control across all farming operations.
- Sampling of plants for evaluation as directed by the researcher or supervisor.
- Use and maintenance of tools and equipment provided.
- Performing manual tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and wearing appropriate protective clothing.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 10 with an understanding of basic agricultural practices.
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of manual operation of farm equipment and machinery.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
