Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The primary goal of the apprenticeship is to learn and practice the relevant trade under the supervision of qualified professionals, enabling participants to gain practical experience and acquire the skills necessary for success in the industry.
Key Performance Areas
- Successful completion of apprentice level module outcomes and theoretical learning.
- Completion of all practical training and skill assessments.
- Applying acquired skills in the workplace.
- Maintaining an updated Apprentice Training Logbook for activity and task completion.
- Passing level tests on the first attempt.
- Completing the Trade Test at the end of the apprenticeship.
- Meeting workplace objectives and requirements as set by the manager/mentor.
- Maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
- Achieving individual Balanced Scorecard and KPIs.
- Demonstrating effective self-management and taking ownership of personal performance.
- Adhering to any reasonable instructions given.
Apprenticeship Opportunities
1. Auto Electrical Mechanic Apprentice
Minimum Qualification:
- N3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with the following subjects passed:
- Engineering Drawing
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Diesel Trade
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license
2. Diesel Mechanic Apprentice & Tractor Mechanic Apprentice
Minimum Qualification:
- N3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with the following subjects passed:
- Engineering Drawing
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license
