The Mkhondo Local Municipality invites interested and qualified candidates to apply for the following positions:

Available Positions:

1. General Worker: Stormwater and Pavement (x9)
   • Department: Technical Services (Roads and Stormwater)
   • Ref: TS/RS/GWSP/02
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
   • Responsibilities: Excavate, clean stormwater pipes, lay paving, operate mechanical tools, and perform various manual tasks.
2. General Worker: Road Satellite (x6)
   • Department: Technical Services
   • Ref: TS/RS/SAT/GWR/05
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
   • Responsibilities: Assist in road maintenance, traffic control, and follow Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
3. General Worker: Road Maintenance (x9)
   • Department: Technical Services
   • Ref: TS/RS/GWR/12
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
   • Responsibilities: Maintain highways, clear debris, place safety cones, maintain vehicles and tools.
4. General Worker: Electrical (x1)
   • Department: Technical Services
   • Ref: TS/ELEC/GENASST/11
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
   • Responsibilities: Assist electricians, prepare materials, maintain electrical systems.
5. General Worker: Waste Water (x11)
   • Department: Technical Services
   • Ref: TS/WAS/GWWAS/08
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
   • Responsibilities: Assist with wastewater system maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
6. Truck Driver: Sanitation Assistant Satellite (x1)
   • Department: Technical Services
   • Ref: TS/WAT/SAT/TRUCK/01
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, driver’s license and PDP, physically fit
   • Responsibilities: Assist with sanitation services, clean and maintain septic tanks.
7. Water Delivery Assistant (x8)
   • Department: Technical Services
   • Ref: TS/WAT/WDASST/01
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10, 12 months of experience, driver’s license and PDP are advantageous, physically fit
   • Responsibilities: Assist with water deliveries to rural areas, maintain water storage tanks.
8. Cemeteries General Worker (x11)
   • Department: Community Services (Cemeteries)
   • Ref: COM/CEM/GW/02
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
   • Responsibilities: Ground maintenance, grave preparation, and cemetery upkeep.
9. Street Cleaner (x16)
   • Department: Community Services (Solid Waste)
   • Ref: COM/SW/STCL/05
   • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
   • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
   • Responsibilities: Clean streets, remove garbage, maintain a clean environment.
10. Refuse Remover (x3)
    • Department: Community Services (Solid Waste)
    • Ref: COM/SW/RR/05
    • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
    • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit, willing to work long hours
    • Responsibilities: Remove garbage, assist with waste collection, ensure proper disposal.
11. Gardener (x10)
    • Department: Community Services (Parks and Garden)
    • Ref: COM/GAR/GARD/06
    • Remuneration: R 131,094 per annum (excluding benefits)
    • Requirements: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage), 12 months of experience, physically fit
    • Responsibilities: Maintain gardens, plant flowers, perform basic landscaping tasks.
