The Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Registry Clerk in the Office of the MEC. This is a valuable opportunity for individuals with a background in administrative work and a keen interest in public service.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate.
- Additional Qualification: A certificate in Records Management is highly advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of the National Archives and Record Service of South Africa Act, 1996 (Act No. 43 of 1996) and related regulations.
- Familiarity with registry duties and practices, including data capture and computer operation.
- Knowledge of document storage and retrieval procedures.
- Understanding of registry operations.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Providing registry counter services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Offering effective filing and record management services.
- Operating office machines related to registry functions, such as photocopiers and scanners.
- Processing documents for archiving or disposal as per applicable regulations.
