Job Description
The role of the Hygiene Assistant involves maintaining cleanliness across all areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common spaces. Key responsibilities include:
- Dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing, and cleaning windows and walls.
- Ensuring laboratory glassware and equipment are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored.
- Washing laboratory coats and replenishing PPE in designated areas.
- Emptying bins daily and managing SHE bins appropriately.
- Adhering to best practices in cleaning and complying with Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE) regulations and HCM policies.
Requirements
- Qualification: Grade 10 with at least three years of relevant experience in cleaning laboratory and office spaces.
- Basic knowledge of waste types.
- Experience in cleaning laboratory equipment is an advantage.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards as outlined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
