The South African Mint is now accepting applications for its Analytical Chemistry Experiential Learnership Programme 2024, offering an excellent opportunity for students who have completed all S4 modules and require experiential training to qualify for their National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.
Position Details
- Role: Experiential Learning – Analytical Chemistry Students (X3 positions)
- Location: Centurion, Pretoria
- Position Type: Fixed-Term Contract
- Reporting to: Senior Chemist

Purpose
The programme aims to provide practical training for students in need of work experience to graduate. Participants will gain hands-on experience in areas such as process monitoring, data collection, and lab testing, equipping them for future careers in analytical chemistry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor processes and collect relevant data
- Conduct Daily 5S inspections in lab areas
- Assist in process optimization and problem-solving projects
- Perform independent lab tests focused on quality assurance
- Support continuous improvement projects and daily lab tasks
- Ensure adherence to material usage requirements
Qualifications
- Completion of all S4 modules in Analytical Chemistry or related fields
