Value Logistics is inviting recent South African graduates to apply for the Graduate Development Programme 2024. This exciting opportunity is designed for graduates eager to build a career in logistics and related fields, offering hands-on experience in operational and managerial roles.
Programme Overview
This two-year programme guarantees full-time employment from the start. Participants will be enrolled in a comprehensive training programme, with additional benefits, such as:
- Provident fund (mandatory)

- Participation in the company’s bonus scheme, based on both individual and company performance.
The programme runs from 07:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional night shifts to provide broad operational exposure. Throughout this time, graduates will learn essential business strategies and processes, gaining valuable insights into the logistics industry.
Graduates will be based at Value City in Elandsfontein, with opportunities to work at various sites, including the Superhub in Cato Ridge, KZN, and Joostenbergvlakte in Cape Town.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the Graduate Development Programme, you’ll support management teams and play a key role in the company’s success. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting managers in implementing new policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of various department functions and daily processes.
- Participating in the company’s strategic planning initiatives.
- Assisting in operational performance evaluations by preparing reports and analyzing data.
- Proactively tracking business revenue and suggesting methods to improve profitability.
- Creating and delivering client presentations, enhancing client engagement.

Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the Value Logistics Graduate Development Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Valid South African driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- A degree in one of the following fields: Supply Chain/Logistics, Transport/Road Freight, Management, or BCom Transport Economics.
- An Honours degree will be highly advantageous.
