Purpose of the Role

The primary goal of the Service Adviser role is to improve the lives of our clients by offering excellent customer service. You will be tasked with exceeding customer expectations, resolving queries efficiently, and guiding clients on how to make the most of Capitec’s financial offerings.

Required Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 months of experience in customer service within a retail, financial, or banking environment.
  • Candidates without experience but with a relevant tertiary qualification will also be considered.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Over 1 year of experience in a client-facing role, ideally within sales or banking.
  • Proven ability to engage with clients effectively and drive sales.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Grade 12 National Certificate or Vocational equivalent.
  • Preferred: A tertiary qualification in Commerce or a related field.
  • Additional: Certification in Finance or Banking will be an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential Knowledge:

  • Basic calculation skills and an understanding of the retail or consumer service environment.

Ideal Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Capitec Bank products, internal processes, and the Branch Credit Granting Policy (BCGP).

Key Skills:

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Conditions of Employment

  • Candidates must have a clear criminal and credit record.
  • Fingerprint recognition is required for Capitec Bank’s internal systems.
