The merSETA Supply Chain Unit invites skilled professionals to apply for the following position:
Position: Administrator: Supply Chain (X2)
Reference Number: ASC/HO/04/11/24
Salary: R25,963 per month
Type: Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months)
Location: Head Office
Purpose of the Role
The Administrator: Supply Chain position supports the effective and efficient procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure compliance with supply chain legislation and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Review purchase requisitions for specific requirements.
- Source suppliers via the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and process RFQs.
- Assist in tender processes.
- Maintain inventory records, monitor stock levels, and reorder as needed.
- Ensure accurate receipt of goods in terms of quality and quantity.
- Address and resolve supply chain issues promptly.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, including management, staff, and external partners.
- Accurately capture purchase orders and maintain vendor files.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required
- A 3-year Diploma or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Administration in the public sector.
- Knowledge of PFMA, inventory management, and SETA operations is advantageous.
- Strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management.
