Position Details

The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) seeks motivated and qualified individuals for the role of SCM Clerk (Level 5) based in Pretoria, Gauteng. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to effective and efficient Supply Chain Management within the department.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification at NQF level 4, recognized by SAQA.
- Experience: No previous experience required.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
General Competencies:
- Quality of work, initiative, interpersonal relations, planning, execution, reliability, communication, and teamwork.
Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Asset Management systems, including LOGIS and BAS.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing an effective Supply Chain Management System.
- Managing assets, inventory, and consumables.
- Conducting physical verification of assets, stock counts, and inventory checks.
- Managing the process for losses, write-offs, and disposal of redundant assets, inventory, and consumables.

Process Competencies: Knowledge management, service innovation, problem-solving, client orientation, advanced communication.
