Job Description
The Class Assistant will provide essential support to learners and educators by:
- Supervising learners in classrooms, during breaks, excursions, and outdoor activities.
- Assisting learners with meals, toileting, and accessing therapeutic or medical treatments.
- Supporting the use of assistive devices, such as wheelchairs and hearing aids.
- Ensuring the safe storage and administration of learners’ medication.
- Supervising group and individual activities, including aftercare programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification: NQF Level 4 or 5 (Grade 12 certificate or equivalent).
- Experience: At least one year of experience working with children with special needs.
