Purpose of the Role
- Assist RME Construction teams during maintenance and construction tasks.
- Ensure work is executed effectively, safely, and efficiently while fulfilling general worker duties.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Grade 9 or 6 months relevant experience.
- Physically fit (medical examination required).
- Proficient in English communication.
- Safety-conscious, alert, and punctual.
- Able to work in:
- Adverse weather conditions.
- Confined spaces.
- At heights.
- Willing to:
- Work extended hours on short notice.
- Relocate or work outside the designated depot.
Competencies
- Health and safety awareness.
- Ability to work in noisy environments.
- Skilled in using non-mechanized hand tools in construction settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Handle, load, and offload materials.
- Maintain site cleanliness by removing weeds, sweeping, and disposing of excess materials.
- Clean tools and equipment.
- Ensure punctuality and maintain professional habits.
