Role Overview
The Shoprite Group is looking for a dedicated and qualified candidate to join our team as a Display Assistant This role is essential in ensuring that promotional displays and signage are effectively transported, assembled, and dismantled at various store locations and event venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport and Display Setup
- Safely transport display materials and equipment to assigned locations.
- Set up and dismantle in-store displays, outdoor posters, and branded event setups, ensuring high standards of quality and visual appeal.
- Support promotional events by setting up branded gazebos, distributing pamphlets, and installing telescopic banners.
- Delivery and Efficiency
- Coordinate routes for timely and efficient deliveries to stores and event locations.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and suppliers to optimize transport and setup schedules.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Insurance
- Ensure that the assigned vehicle is properly maintained and insured, keeping it ready for safe operation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Professional Skills
- Trustworthy and reliable, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
- Physically fit to handle the setup and takedown of display materials.
Additional Skills
- Driving Proficiency
- Knowledgeable in road safety regulations with experience in long-distance driving and handling diverse road conditions.
- Relationship-Building
- Skilled in developing positive connections with suppliers and team members, representing the company with integrity and professionalism.
