Position Details
- Position: Security Officer (Guard) – 42 Openings

Candidate Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be declared medically fit for the role and environment following a risk-based medical assessment at the Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
- Pass security screening and clearance.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be capable of vehicle operation.
- Possess a firearm competency certificate issued by SAPS.
- Have at least 4 years of experience in a high-risk security setting.
- Hold a Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
- Have a minimum qualification of NQF Level 2 (Grade 10).
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional qualifications in crowd control management, tactical firearm handling, defense and restraint techniques, or advanced driving skills.
- Certification in the handling and use of handguns, shotguns, self-loading rifles, or carbines for business purposes.
- NQF Level 4 (National Senior Certificate, Grade 12, or equivalent) is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Access Control: Conduct security searches for people and vehicles, verifying identity and employee status, ensuring only authorized access to Sibanye-Stillwater premises.
- Crime Response: Assist in crowd control as needed and provide first-line response to incidents.
- Safety Protocols: Protect Sibanye-Stillwater employees and visitors by following established safety protocols.
- Asset Protection: Safeguard company assets through diligent access control, guarding, observation, and patrol duties.
