Job Summary
Join Unitrans, a leading company in logistics and supply chain services, for an immersive internship experience. As an intern, you’ll collaborate with industry professionals, gain exposure to innovative procurement strategies, and contribute to initiatives driving operational efficiency, cost savings, and supplier management.
Minimum Education Level
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma at NQF Level 6 or higher in Procurement, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Transport and Logistics, Operations Management, Accounting and Finance, or related fields.
- Academic Requirement: Average grade of 65% or higher.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen.
- Willingness to relocate and/or travel within South Africa.
- Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in computer usage and general administrative tasks.
- Driver’s license and own transport are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier research, prepare RFQs, and analyze pricing and contract terms to support sourcing initiatives.
- Assist with spend analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance supplier value.
- Participate in supplier management and relationship-building activities, with a focus on sustainable procurement practices.
- Support procurement activities through data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Engage in project-based learning with guidance from mentors and coaches to develop a strategic understanding of procurement within Unitrans.
