Value Logistics is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed South African youth to participate in its 12-month Learnership Programme. This initiative is designed to provide Occupational Qualifications and hands-on experience, enhancing participants’ employability in the Logistics and Supply Chain Operations sector.

Programme Overview

The Value Logistics Learnership Programme combines practical workplace experience with theoretical training, preparing participants for careers in the logistics industry. It provides:

  • Occupational Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience
  • Exposure to workplace environments

Learnership Options & Requirements

1. Freight Handler (NQF Level 3)

  • KwaZulu-Natal: Pinetown & Cato Ridge
    • Opportunities Available: 16
    • Minimum Requirement: Matric Certificate with at least 50% pass rate
  • Western Cape: Kraaifontein
    • Opportunities Available: 17
    • Minimum Requirement: Matric Certificate with at least 50% pass rate
  • Gauteng: Germiston, Witfontein, Pomona & Isando
    • Opportunities Available: 24
    • Minimum Requirement: Matric Certificate with at least 50% pass rate

2. Supply Chain Practitioner (NQF Level 5)

  • Gauteng: Germiston, Witfontein, Pomona & Isando
    • Opportunities Available: 23
    • Minimum Requirement: Matric Certificate with at least 60% pass rate

Programme Structure

  1. Classroom Training:
    • Theoretical and practical training one week per month.
  2. Work Schedule:
    • Monday to Friday
  3. Workplace Experience:
    • On-the-job learning in an operational environment.
  4. EISA Examination:
    • Assessments conducted during the programme.
  5. Monthly Stipend:
    • A stipend will be provided to cover travel costs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Matric Certificate (minimum 50%-60% pass rate depending on the programme).
  • Applicants must be South African citizens aged 20–29 years.
