DOJ&CD: Court Practitioner Positions (18 Posts)

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development invites applications from qualified individuals to join as Court Practitioners.
Position Details
- Role: Court Practitioner (18 Posts)
- Salary: R216,417 – R254,928 per annum (Performance agreement required).
- Locations: Various magistrate offices across Gauteng, North West, Free State, Northern Cape, and Western Cape.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and at least two indigenous languages (varies by post location).
- Experience: 3 months of practical interpreting experience is an advantage.
- Additional: A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Time management and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in computer usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret in criminal, civil, and labour court proceedings.
- Translate legal documents and exhibits.
- Maintain criminal record books and case files.
- Record and report case statistics.
