Programme Overview
Pick n Pay Clothing provides an exciting opportunity for TVET students who have completed studies in:
- Clothing Production
- Fashion
- Marketing
- Business Management
- Retail Operations
This learnership equips students with practical knowledge and skills in the apparel business sector. Participants will gain valuable experience by working closely with teams such as Quality Assurance, Buying, Marketing, and Visual Merchandise at Pick n Pay’s corporate office in the Western Cape.
The programme aims to prepare students for graduation while boosting their career prospects in the fashion and retail industries.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an N6 qualification in one of these fields:
- Clothing Production
- Fashion
- Marketing
- Business Management
- Retail Operations
- Show interest in the clothing, fashion, and retail industries.
- Be passionate about gaining hands-on experience in a corporate environment.
- Be eager to learn and grow in a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Team
- Monitor product quality standards and ensure specifications are met.
- Conduct product inspections and report quality issues.
- Manage documentation for quality checks and test results.
Buying Team
- Assist with sample management, fittings, and tracking critical paths.
- Create and manage product data.
- Provide administrative support, including record-keeping and seasonal market insights.
Marketing and Visual Merchandise
- Contribute to marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs.
- Support promotional activities, events, and visual merchandising tasks.
Retail Operations and Business Management
- Assist with in-store promotions and analyze sales data to improve strategies.
- Track store performance metrics like sales and promotions.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to various teams, including:
- Quality Assurance
- Buying
- Marketing
- Retail
- Maintain records, schedules, and prepare reports.
