Position: Procurement Administrator
Location: Beier Drawtex Healthcare, Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal
Closing Date: 10 January 2025


Job Purpose

The Procurement Administrator plays a vital role in the supply chain by evaluating suppliers, maintaining relationships, approving products, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials, parts, or goods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast supply and demand to avoid overstocking or shortages.
  • Enter purchase details (vendor information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases.
  • Place orders to replenish merchandise as required.
  • Track shipments and address delays.
  • Monitor raw materials in transit.
  • Evaluate supplier offers and negotiate favorable deals.
  • Maintain updated inventory records, including daily shipments.
  • Ensure purchases remain within the allocated budget.
  • Handle supplier complaints and liaise with suppliers.
  • Track exports and manage batch records, certificates of conformance, stock control, and analysis.
  • Provide regular updates on procurement activities during operational and monthly management meetings.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Qualification: Matric/Grade 12.
  • Preferred: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Medical background is advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller or Inventory Manager.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Experience in conducting inventory audits.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
