Position: Pointsmen
Minimum Requirements:
✔ Grade 10 (NQF Level 2)
✔ No criminal record
Primary Responsibilities:
Patrolling assigned areas to enforce general law and order under the powers conferred upon a Peace Officer as per Government Notice R159 (02 February 1979, as amended). Duties include crime prevention under the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977, as well as enforcing the National Road Traffic Act and City of Johannesburg By-laws.
Key Performance Areas:
Traffic Management and Control – Ensuring smooth traffic flow and public safety.
School Patrol – Overseeing pedestrian crossings and school safety.
Community Engagement – Assisting with safety initiatives based on Batho Pele Principles.
