Requirements

  • Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and two or more indigenous languages (e.g., IsiZulu, IsiXhosa, SeSotho).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 months practical experience.
  • License: Valid driver’s license.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Duties

  • Interpret during criminal, civil, labor, and quasi-judicial proceedings.
  • Facilitate consultations and translate legal documents.
  • Record case details in the criminal record book.
  • Retrieve case records as requested by magistrates or prosecutors.
  • Maintain statistics and provide support for court processes.
