Position: General Workers (Permanent)

Salary: R132,056.87 – R198,058.31 per annum (Basic Salary)

Requirements & Selection Criteria
- Education: Grade 10 or NQF equivalent.
- Experience: At least six (6) months of experience handling road construction, maintenance, or operating machinery/equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct traffic at work sites by setting up temporary road signs, traffic cones, and barricades.
- Build and repair concrete kerbing, stormwater Kerb Inlets (KIs), and speed humps.
- Clean and unblock KIs; clear earth and open channels.
- Perform manual labor, including digging ditches, repairing potholes, and cleaning roadways.
- Install culverts, stormwater pipes, and manholes, and resurface roads.
- Conduct tree trimming, vegetation cutting, and debris removal.
- Operate tools and machinery for tasks such as crack sealing, patching, and resurfacing.
- Respond to citizen concerns and complete inspection records.
