1. Packaging Learnership

Purpose

To provide participants with the opportunity to achieve a National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging (NQF 3). This programme includes both theoretical learning and hands-on training to develop practical skills and earn a national qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured learning programme combining theoretical and practical elements.
  • Gain workplace experience in food and beverage packaging processes.
  • Demonstrate competence based on SAQA unit standards using various assessment methods.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification: Matric with Mathematics and English.
  • Advantage: Technical courses (N3, N4, N5, or N6).
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, attention to detail, ability to work effectively in teams.

2. Sales & Marketing Learnership

Purpose

To provide a differentiated, market-driven service that ensures sustainable competitiveness in the tavern trade. This includes enhancing brand equity, sales volume, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with tavern owners.
  • Conduct weekly visits to outlets to strengthen partnerships.
  • Manage compliance with stock, merchandising, and pricing guidelines.
  • Monitor sales volumes and ensure consistent product availability.
  • Execute promotional campaigns and maintain competitive shelf space.
  • Manage SAB assets such as fridges and signage, ensuring proper stock rotation.

Skills and Competencies

  • Commercial Aptitude: Understand the value chain and profitability drivers.
  • Customer Focus: Build rapport with customers and address their needs effectively.
  • Accountability: Demonstrate high integrity and take ownership of results.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and work flexible hours.
  • Selling Skills: Identify opportunities, build relationships, and close sales.
  • Planning and Organizing: Develop and execute detailed plans to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree.
  • Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Local area knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Successful completion of a driver’s assessment prior to appointment.
