Programme Overview
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) is excited to offer a 6 to 8-week Drone Skills Programme for 50 women who are interested in pursuing careers in drone operations. This initiative aims to empower female professionals with cutting-edge drone piloting skills and provide them with the opportunity to obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC).

Programme Details
- Position: Drone Programme
- Duration: 6 – 8 weeks
- Locations: Rustenburg, Kimberley, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, and Witbank
- Programme Implementor: SACAA/1121/ATO
- Closing Date: March 7, 2025
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
South African Citizen
Female (Only women may apply)
Age: Between 18 – 40 years
Education: Must have a Matric Certificate with a minimum of 50% in English
Health: Must be in good health
PSiRA Registered and in good standing

Important Notes
- Successful candidates will receive a fully funded placement in the programme.
- The first week of training will be conducted online (candidates must have internet access).
- The remaining training will take place in person at designated locations.
Selection & Training Process
Candidates will be selected by a Recruitment Panel (decisions are final).
Successful candidates must complete an Aviation Class III Medical Examination in their respective provinces (transport to medical venues is at candidates’ own expense).
Medical Examination Locations: Rustenburg, Kimberley (Jan Kempdorp), Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, and Witbank
Training Locations: Mpumalanga (Between Emalahleni and Balmoral)
Accommodation & Transport
Accommodation will be provided for participants.
Transport to the training location will be arranged from the following pick-up points: Rustenburg, Kimberley, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, and Witbank.
