The Department of Home Affairs invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the Civic Services Clerk position at the Mkobola Head Office, Mpumalanga.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Civic Services Clerk

- Salary: R255,450 – R300,912 per annum (Level 6)
- Location: Medium Office – Mkobola, Mpumalanga
Requirements:
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Public Management, Public Administration, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field, recognized by SAQA.
- Completion of the Cadet or Internship Programme at the Department of Home Affairs is advantageous.
- Knowledge of public service legislation, departmental regulations, Civic Services frameworks, and fraud prevention.
- Understanding of Batho Pele Principles.
- Willingness to work extended hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process Civic Services applications and issue official documents.
- Manage secure enabling documents (citizenship, births, marriages, deaths, passports).
- Provide administrative support and attend to customer inquiries.
- Perform online verifications and support digital transformation.
- Implement governance processes and frameworks.
- Ensure efficient resource management within the office.
- Deliver professional and responsive customer service.
