eTV is offering unemployed youth in South Africa the opportunity to apply for the Y Academy Internship Programme 2025—a 12-month paid internship designed to provide hands-on industry experience.
Important: Applicants must not have participated in any SETA-funded internship before.
What to Expect
As a Y Academy intern, you will rotate through various key departments, gaining practical experience in:
Programming – Learn the art of radio and its evolution.
Sales & Marketing – Develop branding strategies and digital content.
Music & Technical – Understand the behind-the-scenes of broadcasting.
Digital & Content Creation – Gain practical insights into new media trends.
Programme Highlights
Learn about radio as a medium, from its history to its future.
Explore the impact of new media on modern business operations.
Develop personal branding strategies relevant to media roles.
Support marketing and digital teams in content creation.
Gain real-world experience in broadcasting and content production.
Participate in in-house lectures, industry-led training, and department-specific projects to refine your skills.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
Hold a National Diploma or higher qualification (NQF Level 6 or above).
Not be enrolled in any other SETA-funded internship programme.
