Midvaal Local Municipality invites qualified and motivated individuals to apply for the position of General Worker – Auxiliary Services (MN3878/25).
Minimum Requirements:
✔ Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage)
✔ Valid Driver’s License (added advantage)
✔ Strong interpersonal & communication skills (must be bilingual)
✔ Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently
✔ Good physical health and ability to perform manual labor
✔ Self-disciplined and hardworking
✔ Must reside within Midvaal Local Municipality’s jurisdiction
✔ 1-year relevant experience in auxiliary services (general work, cleaning, handyman tasks, hall maintenance) in a local government environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a clean and healthy work environment by maintaining offices, bathrooms, stockrooms, and kitchen areas.
- Serve tea and coffee to visitors as required.
- Prepare venues for meetings, including cleaning, setting up water decanters, glasses, and refreshments.
- Assist with general office administration duties when work schedule allows.
- Perform additional tasks as required by management.
Important Information:
Travel Reimbursement: Candidates traveling over 400 km for interviews or assessments for positions on job levels 1 to 4 will be eligible for travel cost reimbursement.
