About the Internship

The National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry (NBCRFLI) is offering a 12-month internship programme for qualified and motivated candidates. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in administrative and secretarial functions within a professional environment.


Purpose of the Role

The Secretariat Intern will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Council, EXCO, Council Committees, Task Teams, and Management Committees to ensure efficient operations.


Key Responsibilities

General Administration: Planning, coordination, and record-keeping.
Meeting Preparation: Draft notices, agendas, and meeting packs.
Minute-Taking: Attend meetings, record key discussions, and document decisions.
Document Management: Maintain and organize Council/EXCO records.
Meeting Logistics: Arrange venues, catering, and travel for members.
Report Preparation: Type and format reports, documents, and letters.
Payroll Coordination: Assist with councillors’ payroll documentation.
Diligent Boards Management: Maintain and update records on the platform.
Ad-hoc Duties: Support additional administrative tasks as required.


Essential Requirements

Education: A relevant qualification in Management, Public Administration, Law, Corporate Governance, or a related field focusing on Secretariat functions.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
Customer Service Orientation: Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach.
Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours when required.
Additional Skills: Familiarity with filing systems, numeracy skills, and basic report writing.
