Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Distribution Centre (DC) and stores, ensuring quick and effective resolution of inquiries.
- Oversee nightshift operations, manage batch pick slips, and double-check accuracy.
- Facilitate trip planning, including creating trip sheets, allocating seals, and managing driver packs.
- Track store orders and delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
Order & Inventory Management
- Collect invoices from the Accounts Department and reconcile them with delivery schedules.
- Monitor and escalate special store requests, while tracking empty lug counts.
- Maintain and update key logistics documents, including the Claim Tracker, Poultry Shortages Report, and Order Documents.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Capture customer orders/B2Bs and update sales order reports.
- Communicate Vehicle ETAs and Poultry Claim Feedback effectively.
- Post ETAs and delivery updates on store WhatsApp groups, notifying customers of any delays.
- Schedule and monitor truck repairs, driver activities, and trip tracking.
Process Optimization & Compliance
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain logistics software and systems for improved workflow.
- Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Pedros People values.
Requirements
Education:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Logistics Administrator or a similar role in a distribution center.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes, including transportation and inventory management.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with leadership training.
