About the Role
Robertson and Caine is seeking skilled and qualified candidates to apply for 10 permanent Carpenter positions within the Joinery Department at our Montague Gardens facility. These positions are available due to replacement needs and will report to the Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit all joinery components according to specifications.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings.
- Operate power tools such as grinders, jigsaws, and drills safely and efficiently.
- Maintain responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
- Manage time effectively and ensure consistent attendance.
Qualifications & Experience
External Candidates:
- Minimum NQF Level 2 (Grade 10) qualification.
Internal Candidates:
- NQF Level 2 (Grade 10) and/or an R&C competency certificate as a Carpenter.
- An NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) qualification would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant work experience.
- A Trade Certificate or National Certificate (NQF 4) will be an added advantage.
Key Competencies & Skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in using power tools.
- Excellent time management, punctuality, and attendance record.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong understanding of company quality standards.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Initiative and ability to lead by example.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
