SBV is offering a 12-month Learnership Programme for unemployed individuals in Mpumalanga. This program provides hands-on industry experience as a Cash Processor while equipping candidates with essential skills for the financial sector.
Job Overview
As a Cash Processor, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cash Processing & Handling
- Receive and verify deposits, ensuring records are updated in the system.
- Comply with company policies to mitigate risks.
- Inspect cash bags for any damage or tampering and report anomalies to the Team Controller.
2. Note Sorting & Balancing
- Sort and process deposits per bank SLAs and SOPs.
- Balance deposits, report discrepancies, and reconcile rejected notes.
- Maintain production records and reconciliation sheets.
3. Reconciliation & Transactions
- Perform daily cash reconciliation, handling shortages and surpluses per SOPs.
- Process payroll and change transactions within SLA timeframes.
- Execute desktop deposit processing, ensuring accurate balancing.
4. Coin Processing & Prepacking
- Process and sort bulk coin deposits.
- Accurately pack and unpack bank and ATM cash, ensuring proper documentation.
5. Governance & Compliance
- Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards.
- Support SBV’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives.
- Maintain all equipment and report defects promptly.
6. Organizational Culture & Change Management
- Embody and promote SBV’s core values and company culture.
- Facilitate effective communication regarding any process changes.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education: Grade 12 with Maths Literacy
Experience: 6 months as a cashier/teller (advantageous)
Training: Successfully completed SBV Cash Processor Training (mandatory)
