Role Overview
Ardagh Glass Packaging is hiring Casual Workers to support the Quality and Decorating Departments at the Nigel Factory. The role involves detecting defects in glassware and ensuring product quality on the production line. Positions are based on casual contracts, subject to operational needs.
Reporting Line: Reports to the Quality Senior in the respective department.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Performance
- Inspect glassware for visual, functional, and critical defects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with health and safety standards
- Perform random quality checks on packed items according to SOPs
- Apply knowledge of standard bottle inspection procedures
Safety Compliance
- Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards
- Follow best practices including 5S, HACCP, GMP, SPC, and environmental awareness
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Compulsory)
Key Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to follow procedures, work shifts, and do overtime when needed
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
