Position Details
- Position Title: Financial Intern (x1)
- Directorate: Budget and Treasury
- Duration: 24-Month Fixed-Term Contract
- Remuneration: R100,000.00 per annum
- Location: Maruleng Municipality, Limpopo
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma or Degree in a finance-related field (majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing)
- Computer literacy and excellent communication skills
- Willingness to undergo security clearance and disclose financial interests
- Commitment to signing an employment contract with the Municipality
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Prepare bank reconciliations and manage cash flow reports
- Process payments for goods and services
- Assist in revenue collection and debt management
- Manage asset barcoding and verification
- Support the budget compilation process
- Assist with procurement and acquisition procedures
- Prepare requisitions for goods and services
- Compile and submit monthly financial reports
