Job Purpose
To ensure that stock is efficiently and correctly loaded, stacked, and maintained according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
General Warehouse Duties
- Sweep and clean warehouse areas.
- Assist with deliveries and route support.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with picking, loading, wrapping pallets, and other ad hoc warehouse tasks.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (forklift license required).
- Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during truck loading.
Wrapping Duties
- Sort and pack cases according to product packing instructions.
- Wrap pallets securely for safe transport.
- Remove defective products before loading.
- Assist Checkers with unpacking and inspecting cases.
Housekeeping
- Properly store cleaning equipment.
- Maintain clean and clear walkways daily.
- Remove pallets and boards from cold rooms and pick areas promptly.
Stock Counting Support
- Prepare the warehouse for stock counts.
- Ensure easy access to products for counting.
- Conduct daily stock counts as directed by the Warehouse Shift Controller.
- Report problematic stock immediately.
Timekeeping
- Clock in and out accurately.
- Minimize overtime.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Promote accident prevention and safe work practices.
Good Handling Practices
- Keep loading bay and freezer doors closed.
- Maintain a glass-free environment by securing fixtures and avoiding open containers near products.
Teamwork and Self-Management
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and activities.
- Communicate proactively about risks or challenges.
- Strive to meet and exceed team goals and expectations.

Qualifications and Experience
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Physically fit and able to handle demanding work
- Sober habits
- 1 year of experience in warehousing or a related field (advantageous)

- Reliability and punctuality
